WEBINAR: Rethinking Bus Travel Campaigns – Tactics To Drive Change
Date: TBC

Last October, the Government announced new funding of over £1 billion for “better buses” in the North and Midlands of England – with the first tranche of money for 2024-25 totalling £150m and the intention to make buses, “more frequent, more reliable and easier to use”.

However this latest investment works out, for those responsible for promoting public transport at local government level across the UK, there remains the ongoing image problem amongst many of their target audiences with “catching the bus”.

With outcomes for several key agendas impacted – including the environment, education, health, employment and the local economy – how can the campaigns we deliver persuade a range of target audiences to make the switch?

We’re hosting a new series of webinars for public sector transport communicators based in councils, combined authorities, and local transport authorities.

In this opening webinar we will:

  • Look at insight into the barriers to bus travel among young people and their parents to find out what the real issues are.
  • Explore which communications solutions – in both creative and media – are most likely to lead to positive behaviour changes.
  • Hear from a council communications team whose recent campaign incorporated these elements to successfully drive an increased shift to bus travel.
